AuthorAlex Timin began his formal martial arts training in 1992 in Taekwondo. He earned his first black belt in 1995 and began teaching that same year. By 2004 he had earned his 4th Degree Black Belt and was teaching professionally full time. He also competed and placed in state and national tournaments. In 2006, Alex earned his teaching certification in the F.I.G.H.T. Self Defense component of the HaganaH System, focusing on hand to hand tactics and weapon defense. He also honed his skill at teaching fitness kickboxing classes, while continuing with traditional martial arts and self defense training. In 2012, Alex set out to open his own training facility - Impact Martial Arts Naples. Opened the following year, IMPACT is now recognized for excellence in providing personal self defense instruction, mixed martial arts training, and fitness programs for children, teens, adults and families in the Southwest Florida community.
